Breast Imaging

The experience and expertise of our breast imaging physicians enables Radiology Group to assist patients and their physicians in identifying and understanding breast cancers, along with treatment options and care.

Our dedication to providing the best possible care to our breast imaging patients is evident in our commitment to new technologies and techniques, such as 3D tomography, and in our attention to our physical care environment, which is calm, comforting, and features an all-female staff of technologists who perform breast imaging exams. Radiology Group maintains a strong focus on early breast cancer detection as this ensures the best possible outcome for our patients. We work to identify women at high risk for breast cancer, perform additional screening exams when necessary, and work closely with genetic counselors. Patients can also schedule a screening mammogram without an order from their doctor.

Breast imaging services are a highlight of our group, and we pride ourselves on the modern, proactive way in which we deliver this care. Our clinic-like model allows our practice to go the extra mile for our patients by ordering additional tests, contacting patients directly with results, providing surgical referrals, and other important tasks that allow us to apply our extensive knowledge to the patient care continuum. If a patient presents with an abnormal mammogram or any other concern, Radiology Group will arrange and perform diagnostic breast imaging, including biopsies, in the same day if possible. Our physicians relay all information and recommendations to the patient and their doctor. We strive to issue same-day reports submitted for patients with suspicious results, a very uncommon practice in the medical imaging industry. These actions lead to a highly efficient practice and decreases patient wait times, which is more than just a matter of convenience when lives are at stake and time is of the essence.

Icon Orthopedic Radiology

Musculosketal Imaging (MSK)

Musculoskeletal (MSK) imaging radiologists focus on diagnosing bone and joint abnormalities, including orthopedic, rheumatologic, and traumatic conditions. Through advanced imaging technologies, Radiology Group MSK radiologists are also able to study the condition of the soft tissue surrounding bones and joints. By specializing in musculoskeletal imaging, these physician experts concentrate on additional nuances related to orthopedic and sports medicine injuries.

Our MSK radiologists utilize a variety of procedures depending on a patient’s needs, including MRI, CT, ultrasound, x-ray, fluoroscopy, and 3D imaging. They work in close collaboration with primary care physicians, surgeons, sports medicine and orthopedic specialists, and other healthcare professionals.

Icon Oncology

Oncology Imaging & Nuclear Medicine

Oncology imaging and nuclear medicine radiologists work to identify cancer in its earliest stages using small amounts of radioactive material, which is either injected, swallowed, or inhaled into the body. Specialized modalities such as PET/CT then detect the radiation inside the body, creating a digitized image of the body’s tissue and organ function. This facilitates the early diagnosis of cancer, often before symptoms appear, and can assess the effectiveness of ongoing cancer therapy. Nuclear medicine is commonly used to evaluate the gallbladder, liver, thyroid, lungs, and heart., These radiologists work collaboratively with primary care physicians, oncologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to provide personalized patient care.

Radiology Group oncology imaging and nuclear medicine physicians participate in tumor board conferences. Tumor conferences include a group of oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgeons, pathologists, and radiologists that discuss patients diagnosed with breast cancer to ensure a cohesive treatment plan.

Neuroradiology

Radiology Group neuroradiologists analyze images of the structure and function of the brain, diagnosing and treating neurological conditions like stroke, Alzheimer’s disease, cancer, headaches, MS, and brain tumors. Neurological imaging procedures include MRI, PET, and CT.

Our subspecialized neuroradiologists work closely with neurointerventional specialists, neurologists, surgeons, primary care physicians, and others to provide a coordinated, informed, effective approach to neurologic patient care.

Icon Ct Lung Screening

Body Screening (CT Lung Screening)

Body imaging radiologists diagnose, monitor, and help deliver image-guided therapeutic treatment for diseases and conditions affecting major body organs and systems. This includes the lungs, liver, stomach, spine, pelvis, kidneys, colon, pancreas, other organs and throughout the abdomen. A subspecialized body imaging physician interprets patient imaging inside the body cavity from the throat down to the pelvis. This allows them to focus on additional distinctions related to this area of human anatomy to deliver a more detailed analysis. These radiologists use many types of imaging to see inside the body, including x-ray, fluoroscopy, computed tomography (CT), ultrasound, and MRI.

In addition to diagnosing acute illnesses, Radiology Group body imaging radiologists also aid in pretreatment planning. This helps ensure the patients receive the diagnostic and therapeutic procedures they need and the best possible treatments. Our body imaging physicians strive to maintain and continually improve the imaging experience for patients. They retain critical relationships with referring providers, allowing for open lines of communication, resulting in more comprehensive care and appropriate decision making.
